FREEDOM RYDERS unique patented "Body Lean Steering" offers the true feeling and performance of leaning into a turn and carving through it just like a bicycle. As you lean into a corner, the cranks stay in alignment with your body and the feeling becomes intuitive as you fly effortlessly around the turn powering all the way through it. Only a FREEDOM RYDER can offer this kind of thrill.
FREEDOM RYDER invented the first high performance handcycle with a host
of many proprietary design aspects often copied, but never equaled.
Company Profile
Brike International, Ltd. is an Oregon based company founded in 1984 by Brian
Stewart and Mike Lofgren and has been helped along the way by many outstanding
athletes and individuals. As the manufacturer of Freedom Ryder
handcycles the company has become known world wide as the founder of modern
day handcycling. Freedom Ryder developed the first low profile handcycle
for racing and touring and since the early 1980's Freedom Ryder has set many
handcycling records. Our handcycles have been ridden across the country
many times both on road and off, completely around the world, the length of
Vietnam and ridden successfully in the Iron Man Triathlon in Hawaii. (See
'World Records' for many more
accomplishments!)
Dear Freedom Ryder, "Just a quick note to let you know how much I have enjoyed the Freedom Ryder handcycle... By far it exceeds my every expectation. I cannot even compare it to the previous chair I was using. The Superbike took cycling up one more level that I didn't even know existed. Some of the technology used on the Superbike was incredible... the body leaning turn system that was incorporated is unparalleled with it's handling capability. I am now able to do things I never dreamed possible on a handcycle. Thanks for all of your help Steve, I'll be thanking you every time I get on the Superbike…I'll never ride anything else."
